Today event was devoted to introduce schoolchildren to Neuroscience. The children of age 10-11 had an opportunity to listen the lecture and to take part in practical seminar organized by a staff of Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology. They learned about the development of brain in evolution from invertebrates to human, about the structure of neuronal cell, the main principles of organization and functioning of neuronal networks as well as how the sense of touch, hearing, eyesight and taste occur. Important information about human habits, noxious and harmful to health, was given.

During the practical seminars schoolchildren painted neurons over the boards and walls displaying the neuron structure. They sow lab animals and took part in the experiment of measuring of animal thermal sensitivity under supervision of postgraduate students.

Today event was devoted to introduce schoolchildren to Neuroscience. The children of age 10-11 had an opportunity to listen the lecture and to take part in practical seminar organized by a staff of Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology.
