Conditions of Membership.
The Society is comprised of Members and Honorary Members.
Members: a person who has conducted research, who has published at least two papers in scientific journals and who is actively engaged in investigation or teaching in the field of both clinical and experimental aspects of Physiology is eligible for membership.
Honorary members: a person who has rendered distinguished service for physiology is eligible for Honorary membership. Responsibility of the Council is from time to time to recommend to the Society suitable candidates for Honorary membership. Such candidates become Honorary members by a majority vote at the meeting of the Society.
Eligibility to vote in the Society: members and Honorary members have the right to vote at any meeting of the Society.
Nominations: Applications for membership, signed by two members who know the applicants personally who vouch for their eligibility may be submitted to the Secretary at any time. Applications will be approved by the Council. Applications are processed twice a year.
Payment of Dues. Membership fees are to be paid on receipt of the annual dues notice and prior to December 25 for the ensuing calendar year. The size of the annual due is 1% of the month's salary. A person whose membership has been suspended for non-payment of fees may be reinstated at any time by the majority of votes at the annual meeting upon payment of the total unpaid fees. There is no annual fee for the Honorary members.
Resignation: any member may resign from membership by informing the Treasurer or Secretary of their intention to resign. A person who has resigned in this way is eligible to resume membership at a later date on payment of fees for the year of reinstatement.
Head Office: The Head Office of the Society resides in the city of Kyiv, in the Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology, Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.
